Wap25 May Queen

My name is Anya and I am 13 years old. I moved to Randwick two days before my 4th birthday. I remember watching the Five Valley's firework display with my family from Ocker Hill. It was a great experience in the first few days of living here. I have taken part in the Wap three times as Princess and twice as a Lady in Waiting. The procession is fantastic to both watch and be involved in, and the costumes always look stunning. I am in my second year of Stroud High School and looking forward to a trip to Germany and Surfing in Wales later this year. I spend some of my time outside of school doing aerial gymnastics and dance, both of which are super fun. As well as being part of the procession for the past 5 years I have also run stalls in the last two Waps, raising money for charity. Being given the opportunity to be Wap Queen in this unique village tradition would be such an honourable experience and something I have aspired to do. The whole event is a wonderful way to spend a day with family and friends.
